These little tins were made by hand and gifted with love as Mariglō’s first-ever field test. Now that the dust has mostly settled, I want to know everything.

Meet the Founder
Mariglō began with my own skin.
Hi, I’m Shannon, founder of Mariglō Botanicals. 🌼
The idea for Mariglō came from a very personal experience. After accidentally burning my face, I found myself looking at skincare completely differently. My skin was incredibly vulnerable, and suddenly I cared less about complicated routines and more about what I was actually putting on it.
That experience sent me down a rabbit hole of researching simple, nourishing botanical ingredients and learning what each one could bring to a formula. I became especially drawn to calendula and began experimenting with botanical oils, butters, and other carefully selected ingredients to create something gentle, rich, and incredibly versatile.
Eventually, those experiments became Mariglō Skin Rescue Balm.
What started as something I created for myself became the little tin I found myself reaching for again and again—for dry skin, lips, cuticles, and those moments when my skin simply needed some extra love.
But Mariglō grew into something deeper for me along the way.
I believe caring for our skin can be a ritual—a small moment to reconnect with our bodies and treat ourselves with intention. There’s something beautiful about taking ingredients that begin in nature and turning them into something made by hand, with purpose.
That philosophy is at the heart of Mariglō Botanicals.
And if you’re here because one of my little tins found you in the desert, you’re part of a particularly special chapter. These are among the very first batches of Mariglō, handmade in California and brought to the Playa to share with people whose skin could use a little extra nourishment in the dust, wind, sun, and beautifully wild environment.
Mariglō is only beginning—and I’m genuinely excited to see where it grows.
